Bloggers are sometimes fortunate enough to be offered product reviews and giveaways. While I believe sampling some of these products or experiences and sharing my thoughts about them may enrich my blog, I have a few ground rules.
• I will never exchange a good review to receive a freebie. If a company would like to offer me a product to sample, any comments I make about it will be my true thoughts.
• Just because I try something is no guarantee that I will include it in my blog.
• In a case where I do choose to report on something I have been given to sample, the first time I mention it, I will declare up front if I was given it to try.
• My personal integrity is far more important to me than getting something for free. I hope as you learn about me in my blog, you will trust me as a straight shooter on whatever topic I happen to be covering.
As a web site owner. Do you feel like having a web-site or perhaps website is practical?
Also how would you get visitors to check out your blog post?
I enjoy having a website that directs readers to my blog. I appreciate it when people take the time to read it and comment. In terms of getting visitors to check out my blog post, I rely on word-of-mouth, and putting links to it on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and other social media sites as appropriate.
Great blog. I have got a concern. As a site owner, just how long did it take
for your site to be profitable? Furthermore exactly what do
you enjoy most with regards to running a blog?
Thanks for your comments. As to your question, I guess it depends how you define profitable. I find it extremely beneficial and personally rewarding to run a blog. I like to have fun, experience great cuisine and beverages, and share my findings. I have no advertising on my site at this time and it offers no direct financial gain. On the other hand, it is wonderful practice for a writer and hones my discipline. It also is complementary to the freelance writing that I do for which I get paid and allows me to expand on some of my stories. And from time to time, it results in complimentary invitations to golf and culinary events that I thoroughly love.
Great blog. I have a question. As a web site owner, just how long did it
take for your web site to be successful? Likewise exactly what do you like most about running a blog?
Thanks for your praise. It depends how you define success, in terms of your question. I celebrated my first success of just getting a blog launched!
What I like most about running a blog is sharing wonderful adventures that I have found with the thought that there may be other kindred spirits interested.

Hmm it seems like your sit ate my first comment (it wass super
long) so I guess I’ll juyst sum it up what I had written and
say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I ass well am an aspiring blog writer but I’m
still new to everything. Do you have any points for newbie blog writers?
I’d definitely appreciate it.
My best advice is to be yourself. Write from your own perspective on the things that matter to you.
